FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
For adults, we discuss the challenges you may be experiencing. From there we will do an evaluation and help you formulate goals to achieve for each session.
For children, we start learning more about the child’s developmental history followed by an evaluation of their sensory and childhood reflexes. Finally we plan out a program to aid you in the following sessions.
Children: First session is 1.5 hours, and subsequent sessions will be 1 hour.
Adults: All adult sessions are 1.5 hours.
Depending on the severity of his or her challenges, a child may need one session, a block of 5 sessions or more. We allow their parents to decide when they feel it is sufficient.
Our private sessions with each child is once a week.
Parents are required to support their child with doing home activities called HomePlay. These are usually exercises used during the session and strategies discussed. The biggest difference in improvement between two children is determined by the amount of support they get at home. Therefore parents need to have a full commitment if they wish to see their children improve.
It depends on the severity of the issue at hand. They may wish to make a commitment for self-growth by taking advantage of our session packages.
We usually allow adults to make their own choices as to how often they wish to come for a session. Depending upon the seriousness of each case. Usually the first 2-3 sessions may be weekly and then fortnightly and then monthly.
Adults, like children, also need to do home support or HomePlay activities to allow for continued myelination in the brain-body system.
The body undergoes re-organization during each session. As we start working with deeper issues re-organization may also happen at a deeper level. With that in mind, please allow for up to 72 hours for the body to complete its re-organization. During this time, clients may experience some discomfort such as feeling warmer than usual, feeling more emotional, thirsty, hungry, children may over-react more than usual, skin rashes may appear. The symptoms vary from one person to the other and some people may not even feel any of the symptoms above. To support yourself during this time, please remember to keep yourself hydrated – drink more water than usual, do calming exercises given during the session, be in nature – walk barefoot on grass and earth or soak your feet in sea water.
Results vary depending on the individual and the complexity of the issues you are currently facing. We have had clients see significant improvements after a single session, and others who see improvements after a few more. Cooperation and commitment to the program and activities we tailor to you also plays an important role in seeing results.

We see families with children who experience behavior and learning difficulties. We work individually with the child and also the parents, usually mothers. We also see many adults for private sessions.
There is no medication involved.
